40,000 Teachers Give Their Views On Education Reform

Scholastic reports on the findings of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation survey of 40,000 school teachers across America and what they think of reforms for U.S. schools.  According to the story, the research "reveals teachers' thoughtful, nuanced views on issues at the heart of education reform – from performance pay and standardized tests to academic standards and teacher evaluation."  Five solutions are presented to help raise student achievement.
