BackPacking Trail Work Days
Sat July 10 & Sat Aug 14 (9a-Noon) Volunteers (age 14 and up) are needed to help maintain the Twin Valley Trail, a backpacking trail connecting Germantown and Twin Creek MetroPark. No experience necessary. Bring your water and work gloves. Tools and instruction provided. Meet at the Germantown Park Office, 6675 Conservancy Road. Individual and groups invited. Groups are 7-15 people and should contact rachel.brand@metroparks.org or (937) 564-5431. Reservations requested, walk-ins welcome. Youth age 14-17 must be accompanied by an adult.
Earth Day Adopt-a-Campsite
Tue Aug 13, 6pm - 7:30 pm at Twin Creek MetroPark. Volunteers who enjoy hiking and would be intersted in checking one of the backcountry campsites along the Twin Valley Backpacking Trail (TVT) on select Wednesday and/or Saturdays using a Campsite Inspection Sheet are invited to adopt a campsite! (Pine Ridge, Cedar Ridge and/or oak Ridge). Reservations requested, walk-ins welcome. Ages 18 yrs and up only.
